Now, working with acrylics and mixed media, I feel more connected to my creativity than ever. Pet Portraits
My journey into pet portraits began in 2010 when my husband and I met Olive—a small black lab with soulful eyes, big ears, and oversized paws.
My first attempts at painting weren’t great, but I kept going, captivated by the way her eyes held so much love. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just painting a dog—I was capturing the deep, unconditional bond we share with our pets.
Now, at 14, Olive’s eyes are cloudier, and her black fur is full of gray, a testament to years of love. But that same unwavering connection is still there. That’s what I strive to reflect in every portrait—the heart, the soul, and the love that never fades.
